Makes a difference

Bought a new dishwasher and all the glasses came out covered in countless spots. Enter, Somat Rinse Aid! While the first few washes seemed to be of poor results, ever since then the glasses come out fine, and this has been at least 6 months since I purchased. give it a shot, it actually works!
For Use in Dishwashers

I have been using Somat Rinse Aid in my dishwasher for a number of years. It doesn't take much. I just topoff reservoir every so often. This product will ensure your dishes come out of the wash cycle squeeky clean, fresh smelling, and spotless, and the inside of the dishwasher is clean. I am not sure how it works other than it is applied during the rinse cycle. I am happy with this product.
Because I love my Miele dishwasher...

I haven't used different versions for comparison, but my dishes have never looked better since I bought a Miele dishwasher and am using this rinse agent along with the Miele dishwasher tabs. You can't get better than perfect, so unless they change the formula I will be using this forever. I use half a Miele tab in my DW, and with this as my rinse agent the dishes I thought were looking aged now look like new again.
A subtle but real difference

I would be lying if I told you that I could look at a glass that I just took out of our dishwasher and could tell whether or not the rinse aid used had been Somat. The difference in results between dishwasher rinse aids are really subtle, and impossible to discern except in the long run and in the aggregate. But I am willing to pay a convenience premium and to pay a price premium for Somat because -- in the long run and in the aggregate -- it produces results that are simply superior to the results that alternates produce.
When, decades ago, we bought our house with the first automatic dishwasher we had ever owned, we started using rinse aids, alternating between the two common supermarket brands back then, Finish Jet Dry Rinse Agent Liquid, Original (which was branded Electrasol, not Finish, in those days) and Procter & Gamble's Cascade "Crystal Clear." Over time, we developed a preference for the Cascade Crystal Clear, and used only Cascade Crystal Clear for many years. Then, about the time that P&G changed the name on the bottle from Cascade Crystal Clear to Cascade Rinse Aid, Superior Spot Protection , it no longer seemed to yield as good results as it had in the past. So, because we long have used Ecover Automatic Dishwashing Powder as our preferred dishwasher detergent, we experimented with Ecover Automatic Dishwasher Rinse Aid , which for some reason did not work well in our dishwasher and our local water. We turned next to Earth Friendly Products (Ecos) Wave Jet Rinse Aid Dish Liquid ; serendipitously, the Wave Jet -- which at the local brick-and-mortar store where we bought it, sells at a price comparable to the price of Jet Dry or Cascade -- produced results that were at least as good as the old formula Cascade Crystal Clear had done; we switched to Wave Jet, and we were happy.
What came over us to cause us to go to the trouble to mail order (because we could not purchase it locally) an expensive rinse aid like Somat when we were satisfied with the economical Wave Jet, I cannot recall. Perhaps it was learning that Miele, the maker of our excellent dishwasher, liked the product so much that it gave the product -- made by third party detergent giant Henkel -- a Miele part number; that seemed to us to be a ringing endorsement, and made the Somat a product worth looking into.
In any event, we are glad that we found Somat, because we perceive that it really _does_ leave our dishes cleaner and shinier than they ever have been. The difference is subtle, and as I said at the top, if presented with two freshly washed glasses, I could not identify which of the two glasses had been washed with Somat rinse aid and which had been washed with the excellent Wave Jet; but, over the long run and in the aggregate, the Somat simply seems to produce the better results. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

works great. I am a repeat customer with this product

works great. I am a repeat customer with this product. Between this and the tablets, I am a happy camper, although not cheap, it is effective. I thought my problem was either the dishwasher or the well water. These products proved otherwise.
