After reading all the reviews on poor instructions...my husband (a carpenter) and I put this together 100% without the use of the instructions and in less than 30 min. He had a small electric drill with magnetic bit, I had a hand held screwdriver and pliers. Several shelves came bent, but my we bent them back into place easily...the holes didn't want to align, but with a little bending of the metal and pushing, they aligned enough to get the screw through. We placed the plastic leg bottoms on before we attached the top legs. We then attached the top portion to all the legs. We then placed jars on the floor (next to the top-bottom legs) to identify where we would place the shelves. When screwing the bolt on we didn't over tighten (which will happen after it's all assembled). We then stood it up and my husband used a level to make sure it was square...we then put the corner braces on and the longer braces and then tightened all the screws. We didn't think it took too long given the amount of screws to secure the shelving. If it hadn't been all bent up and the holes would've aligned better I would've given it a 5...but otherwise I will be buying more of these.
I knew I wasn't buying the highest quality shelves but. . .

I bought two sets. They each come with seven shelves. I only needed 4 for each which is good because every shelf was bent. This is a manufacturer's problem not a shipping issue. The boxes showed no signs of damage what so ever.

Some of the bends make it hard to get the screw in and the nuts tightened.

The inner lip of the front and rear of the shelves can make getting the nuts on the screws difficult because the rear hole and the front hole are slightly misaligned. In many cases I tightened the nut down over the inner lip until it was bent and flush with the front outer lip of the shelf.

This wasn't the hardest set of shelves to put together but that's only because the metal bends easily allowing me to force it into alignment. It still took longer than I had hoped.

They do hold things though. And they are the color advertised. One star for each.
I love it. I read all the reviews before purchasing ...

Instructions could have been a little clearer. An 8x6" step 1-6 with pictures. I mean once it started coming together then it was basically common sense. It took about 3 hours from beginning to end with my husband and myself. The shelves themselves YES are a bit flimsy (when loose) but I knew that already so no big deal. This shelving unit is in the exact dimensions that I needed it to be in order to fit my small hallway closet that I am converting into a pantry. Flimsy shelves (when loose) or not, when this unit is assembled correctly, the
finished product is what I need it to be. I love it.

I read all the reviews before purchasing this and I had to laugh. My husband and I did not argue. Assembling this unit was not a test in our marriage. haha

It was pretty much cut through assembly. Allot of screws, allot of wrist turning, allot of bending over, allot of back pain but the end result was exactly what I wanted.

only 4 stars given due to lack of instructions and 2 of the stand up legs did not even match up hole to hole (which gave me problems)
and the end result was, I had to unscrew a whole leg and re do the whole thing. That added about 35 minutes extra in labor.

You will have plenty of screws left so don't worry. I put them away for any future use.

I should have took to heart what all the reviews said. This is probably one of my worst purchases from amazon. Assembling it took more literally 2-3 hours by myself (and I love putting things together).

The load capacity is supposedly 750lbs but I highly doubt that. It's super flimsy and a lot of the parts don't align. I HAD TO BEND ALL THE PIECES to get everything to align correctly. Maybe a quarter of the way through (like 45 minutes after) I almost gave up and was thinking of returning the product, but then that would require me to unassembled what I had already done and figured out (don't even bother with instructions. I ended up just looking at the picture on the box and worked my way from there). About halfway through, I began thinking that it wasn't even worth finishing nor did I even care about the money I had spent on this product at that point.

I think somewhere around the 2.5 hour mark I finally finished it... with a few pieces to spare. I highly doubt it can hold 750lbs, unless if you maybe put it on the lowest shelf that's like 2 inches off the floor. But I'm so over it. I put it into the pantry room and after 2 months, the shelfs are slightly sagging (all we keep on it are a few pans and a couple cans. I won't put anymore heavy on it).

Not worth the trouble. Spend a little more on something else.
No wonder the manufacturing jobs went over seas.

The wife said, "hey I found a shelving unit to organize the shed for $26, want me to get it"? I thought sure, what could go wrong. The answer to this was everything. First off the box it was shipped in was almost twice as wide and twice as deep. The only protective wrapping to ensure it didn't get thrown around the box during shipping like a toddler on a mustang was a single 5' piece of craft paper.

Assembling it was a pain in the ass as well. Half the holes don't line up, shelves were bent and had to be hammered to even get the nut on the bolt. The paint job was god awful as well. I can only assume Stevie Wonder is the only person over quality control and he just eyeballs everything.

I followed the instructions exactly, and when I lifted it up I knew everything about this was terrible. This shelving unit is more unstable than Amanda Bynes. The only thing that angers me more than the hour I spent putting this amazing example of American engineering together is the fact that I have to disassemble it in order to ship it back and get a refund. I guess when something says, "made in America", I should assume it was made in some buys backyard out of aluminium foil, a hole bunch, some rusty sheet metal and spray paint that is half used on the product and half inhaled to get through another day of making this crap.
