The Stant website has an extensive parts search engine, so if you go on there and find your car/truck, I can't see how you won't get the right cap. I needed a cap for my motorhome with a Ford Econoline V-10 gas fuel engine, which wasn't on the first Ford E-350 result list that came up. However, with knowing the gas type + engine size and year, the cap I ordered (10502) was the perfect fit, since it was the same cap recommended for other gas models for my year (1997).

I like, it a little tricky on figuring out how to make sure it's locked, ps ever who it was stealing my gas that person probably doesn't like this item at all......LOL

works great. my old gas cap on my 2000 Excursion had broken the seals broken down and when it rained the water was leaking into my gas tank making for a very rough idle. After I went through 4-5 cans of seafoam I ordered this and the problem went away. The locking cap is not something i necessarily wanted but accepted and is a bit finiky. sometimes I can keep it unlocked and sometimes I have to unlock everytime.

I definitely didn't think it worked upon arrival, but it does. Slightly confusing until you're brave enough to just put in on the car trusting that it won't get stuck locked on your car. Mine didn't come with any tether of any sort and the old tether doesn't fit on this gas cap. No biggie, but would have been nice.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this cap was made in USA of reasonable quality materials and workmanship. Best feature is you don't need to use the key to lock the cap. Just twist and turn until it clicks 3 times and it's on. My other cap was frustrating to install because you had to fiddle with the key while turning the lock. Almost to the point where you needed an extra hand to keep the cap stable. This cap is super easy to get on and off. I'm glad I bought it!
