Very nice spur, excellent quality. They appear to be a men's size, but are probably more of a "one size" type deal, very wide at the back. While the metal is very durable, I have been using them almost daily since receiving them in October, I just bent the front two pieces closer together and snug up the spur strap and they fit my slim ankle well, both in field boots and in paddock boots with half chaps. The 3 teeth on the inside are blunt but provide enough extra oomph to your heel nudge that the horse really listens. I haven't seen any spur rubs or ruffed up hair on the horses after riding with these on. I use them on my own horse and have seen a big improvement in her keeping the same steady pace and responding better to my first ask for upward transitions. I also use these spurs when I do a tune up ride or fitness ride on our lesson horses, some of whom are very spur dull from swinging children's legs. My trainer says she wishes they came in children's size, she would buy these to replace the tom thumbs currently in use. I love that they come with Prime shipping, makes a much nicer alternative to ordering from a tack store and waiting a week or so.

These are wonderful, with exception to size. If I didn't wear riding boots that were wider through the toe/ ankle area it would be an issue. But they are bendable, so this is easily remedied. That being said, they give the perfect amount of extra oomph to the big guy I'm currently exercising
