Excellent student violins

This is a perfect student violin. We started with a 1/4 sized one, then 1/2 size and now this one all Palatino brand. It is perfect for my students' needs. It has good sound and a good price. They last a long time as well. The 1/4 and 1/2 sized ones have been used by our children for over a 10+ year span and are still in good shape and sound good.

Tight Fine Tuners!

I bought this violin for my 10 year old son when he outgrew his 1/2 size violin. I never bought a musical instrument online and probably will not again. While the violin itself is "OK," the fine tuners are so tight that you can't tune the violin properly. The pegs slip as well making daily tuning a big production. The violin also has a "sharp" sound. It's hard to keep my son motivated to play on a violin that is so hard to tune - not a great purchase.

Got this violin for my 9 yr old son for classroom lessons at school. Teacher says it has a good sound. However the bow was a disappointment. It was already beginning to fray when we got it out of the package and the horse hair was not tight or flush at the tip of the bow. Ended up going to a local music store to buy a new bow.
