This case is great. All the details are well-made, the thing seems strong enough that you could drive a car over it. Secure and cushy ride for your violin. Very good value for the money, I think. The hygrometer is worthless, IMO, but these case hygrometers always are. Worth investing in the calibrated hygrometers from David Burgess violins.

One complaint--when my violin is in there--it is is a fairly highly-arched old Viennese violin--the blanket prevents the case from closing. It seemed to be too wide. I easily solved this by cutting and re-sewing the blanket, making it a little less wide and tapering a bit towards the scroll.

Anyway, I recommend this case highly.

Lovely case again from Bobelock. This has replaced my old one which is about 20years old and still in pretty good shape apart from the cover. I think the wood shell is slightly thicker on the old one but i'm still very happy with the new case, hopefully it will last just as long!

This is a superior violin case in every respect. With a wood shell, your precious instrucment is well protected.
The green velvet interior is pleasing and functional. I wondered--how firmly would be the fit for a modern Italian violin? Perfect! Amazing. 4 generous bow holders with roomy covered spaces at the end of the scroll and alongside the violin neck. One of the side spaces fits my Kun folding shoulder rest, with the cover all the way down.

The suspension features are generous (about 1/2 inch. thick)--much more than I've seen as typical, lately.
Every thing about the case is quality, down to the humidity gauge and the bottle for water to maintain humidity, which snaps into case firmly. Case cover is will fitted, with a rain cover for the opening, and generous space for strings, books, and whatever you must carry with your violin.

I can't find a real negative here--not yet. The subway strap is nylon webbing--NOT the smelly rubber used on some cases.

Bobelock has maintained a very stable level of quality for decades, made in the Phillippines. Such cases are no longer made in America, but this is a sturdy, worthy successor. If you love your violin, consider this case to protect it!

This case is sturdy, many pockets and comes in a nice shade of color; the manager's custom service is very good.
