Great stuff!!

Bought this to cover a window during the colder months in my home. Works WONDERFULLY. I have zero air coming in from my apartment windows and it stays so cozy in the room! It does obviously black out your window but makes for great sleeping in. This was very easy to measure and apply to a window as it is extremely light weight. I put plastic cover over this for double protection but after reading the reviews I needed to purchase this as plastic itself is not enough.I would recommended this to anyone looking to black out a window or to cover a window for better insulation. I would definitely buy this again!
Must have for Hot and Cold days!

Great roll. Was able to do all 7 of the windows of my 20 foot trailer with some leftover and 2 of my windows are large. Dramatically reduces the heat coming in as well as keeps the trailer much warmer on cold nights. Also works great for keeping the interior darker sleeping.
Made some curtains

The product came today, and I got busy making curtains for my sliding glass doors. My air-conditioner has been running since summer of this year and has not quit until today:-) it has cooled down my house:-) I love it! Easy to cut and work with.
Good Cooler Chest Insulation

Reflectix can be used to create a DIY cooler insulator. The attached pictures show what it can do to a Coleman Ultimate Xtreme cooler chest. (The photos were taken 20 feet from the edge of the Grand Canyon on a July field test.) I crafted a sheath that protects the top, bottom, and all four sides. Leaving space for the wheels, handles, and drain, I used heavy duty velcro to attach the Reflectix panels. The sheath opens and seals thanks to the velcro. Inside the cooler, I also placed Reflectix around the sides. Moreover, I used silicone to attach a final panel to the inside of the lid. So how effective is it? While I haven't conducted a scientific study, I can share that there's a significant improvement. Possessing a sense of the cooler's baseline capability, the sheath truly keeps the contents colder for longer. As an example, there have been times when exposed cooler surface was hot from sunlight, yet the area under the Reflectix paneling was cool. While it works, there are limitations to using Reflectix as a cooler insulator. With enough direct Sonoran sunlight, a cooler will get hot regardless of Reflectix protection. The worst problem is that with moderate wear, the aluminum coating rubs off. As this happens, the material loses its reflective power, leaving nothing more than bubble wrap. In regard to the insulation bubbles, they pop given real use. Thus it is clear that Reflectix is intended for use in crawl spaces, attics, walls, and the like. In light of this, it would be nice if the manufacturer created a more durable version. Then again, a DIY cooler sheath isn't cheap as-is. In addition to the $26.23 spent on the 48"x10' roll of Reflectix for my 82 quart cooler, the velcro was another $25.00. (With hindsight, foil tape on the non-moveable sections would have lowered the cost.) That said, the total cost is well below that of an $800 Yeti cooler! Cooler sheaths work, but know that they have limited lifespans unless treated delicately.
Great buy

I want to explain in detail why this product is worth every penny. I am on a low fixed income so I do everything possible to stretch every penny. I live in Arizona so I have equally high heating and cooling cost. It obviously hot in the summer but is also very cold in the winter so I bought expensive black out curtains which works well for the winter but in the summer they don't work so good. The reason they don't work so good in the summer is the radiant heat. It blocks the sunlight but the heat of the sun is absorbed into the curtains and they transfer the heat into my apartment. So I did my research and found this product insulates and reflects the sun's heat. Now when it is say 105 out I can touch my Curtains and they are actually cold to the touch. In 24 my A/C would run for 17 hours a day or so in the summer month on average now my A/C runs for may 1 hour a day. At night even during the hottest months it will get into the 70's so at Night I air out my apartment with windows open and I run a fan for air circulation before I had this product I could not get the inside of my apartment as cool as the outside because the heat from the sun was absorbed into my cinder block walls the best I could do without the A/C on would be to get my apartment into the 80's. If it was 70 outside my apartment would only cool to about 82 never into the 70's. Now I can get my apartment completely cooled off to the outside temp. So by not letting the sun bake my apartment when it is out I can naturally keep my place cool and like I said during the heat of the sun my A/C is only running for 1 hour a day. So if you think Insulated Black Out Curtains will work for you think again.... This will turn you place into basically a thermos.
