In the past, my go-to caulk was GE's paintable silicone sometimes referred to as XST. Lately, I started to notice yellowing and other issues that I never saw in the past. With my recent purchases, I decided to try something new. Research showed that this was the best caulk in the same realm as the XST. From a performance perspective, it does not disappoint. This stuff sticks to anything! The only downside is that it is a bit messy when tooling. If you need a more toolable, high-performance caulk, I recommend Big Stretch. Otherwise, this caulk is the best performing caulk I have ever used.

Really incredible caulk. I'm so glad it was recommended in an Amazon review for another product. Yes, this stuff is really thick, and it takes a lot of strength to get it out of the tube. (Try it in a cartridge with a caulk gun if your project permits it.) BUT this has got to be the best caulk: easy to smooth and tool, sets wonderfully, and stays put. To my great regret, first I tried one of the usual caulk suspects from the big-box hardware store and it was horrible: the caulk came out smoother, sure, but it was incredibly hard to smooth and as it set, it CRACKED and sank unevenly into the seam! Total nightmare. I had to scrape it all off, scrub it clean, and start over. Lexel did the trick, and now my whole bathroom is caulked beautifully.

I usually buy calk at the local Home Depot or Lowe's and didn't have any issues before. Not sure if it was my luck , but calk that I bought last time wouldn't stick to the surface. It took me hours to remove old calk and prepare surface for new application. This calk stick and hold great, however as it was mentioned in many reviews it is not easy to apply.

I'll never use silicone again... Ever! This is far superior to anything on the market!! I'm so excited I was steered in the right direction to find this.

This product is outstanding. These latex silicone products today are a waste of money.
