The first foot or so it looked like it was working well

Didn't work for me. I needed to cut in the top of the room over the basement stairs. I was very careful not to let the paint get on the edge of the pad as other reviewers suggested. The first foot or so it looked like it was working well, until I reloaded it with paint. The more you use it, the more the foam pad, sandwiched between the bristles and the plastic backing, becomes saturated with paint. Once that happens, when you apply any sort of pressure the paint will squish out and up onto the ceiling. I was very careful to apply paint sparingly (I even used a paintbrush to "paint" it onto the pad instead of dipping it). I ended up borrowing the neighbors extension ladder to get the job done.
Great for a clean edge at the ceiling.

This worked like a charm. I couldn't reach the top of my wall, so I purchased this and an extension pole. I'm uncomfortable on ladders and being alone, I thought I'd give this a try and am so glad I did. I have a popcorn ceiling so I was worried that it give me problem but it didn't and I was able to paint my walls and they look gorgeous.

AMAZING. I have never used a "short cut" product that has EVER worked until this. I was desperate because I'm 5'4 and I've got a bathroom where I could not reach the 10 ft. ceiling. Its a bathroom so ladders don't work. I bought this months ago and decided to give it a try- today- IT WORKS PERFECTLY. Maybe I'm just so short that I can't see all the way up to the ceiling but it looks GREAT from where I am. The line is so even, no paint on the ceiling. Wow, fantastic product. I was looking for a way to edge the tops of my high walls without having to climb way up onto a high ladder. So, I got this and an extension pole. This is probably the most useless thing I've bought. I'm an experienced and careful painter and I could NOT get this thing loaded without it getting paint in places I didn't want it to go. I did not get paint on the edging wheels and it still smeared on the trim (where I tested it first) because of paint close to the end of the paint surface! I got paint only on the paint surface and it still failed as an edging tool! Its not a lot of money down the drain, but it still ticks me off that I spent any money and time on this waste at all.
Great product that saves the do-it-yourself-er money.

This paint edger saved me money. It allowed me to paint my whole house without help. I edged with Mr Long Arm and used a paint roller on the rest of the wall. I have tried other paint edgers, but this one is the most stable when it is attached to a paint pole. Great product for a do-it -yourself-er. It is reasonably priced, can be used and cleaned multiple times, and the replacement pads are available on Amazon. Only con when it comes time to replace the paint pad sometimes it sticks in place and is hard to get off.
