Blower works well in St Croix pellet stove with a little tweaking
RJB✓ Verified Purchase•September 14, 2023
I bought this blower to replace the combustion fan in my St Croix Prescott EXL pellet stove. I can't seem to get one of these fans to last more than 3 seasons. The St Croix blower from the dealer comes with the Fasco fan motor and housing for $160.00. I always just replace the fan motor and gasket, so I have several spare housings laying around. This blower/motor is virtually identical to the St Croix version, however, it is not a direct bolt in replacement. It requires a little modification, so it's best to do this prep work beforehand. Physically, remove the new fan/impeller, remove the new motor/fan from it's housing and mounting plate, drill out the three mounting holes to a larger size, transfer the rubber isolators from your old motor to the new one (keeps the unit quiet), and reassemble onto a spare St Croix mounting plate/housing. I usually cut myself a new Kaowool gasket at this time. Electrically, cut off the three wires with the correct connectors from the old motor, and solder or crimp them onto the new motor wires. At this point, I put it on the bench and test it with some line voltage. Now I keep this one on hand for the next time the one in the stove seizes up. The motor/fan can be replaced in less than a half hour. If you are mechanically inclined, with an hour's work, you can save yourself 60 bucks by using this blower.
Replacement for power vent ona Keystoker 90 coal stove
S. Eyre✓ Verified Purchase•September 6, 2023
As stated above, I bought this blower as a replacement for the power vent unit on my Keystoker 90 stove. As it turns out, you can't buy just the motor for this blower unit from Fasco, you have the buy the whole thing. I was irritated as all get out because everywhere else this stupid thing costs $150.. but when I saw this price, I sucked it up bought it when I realized it just wasn't getting any better than this. I still sort of hate Fasco as a result. BTW, thanks to the guy who stated in another review here that he bought it for his Keystoker 105, which is virtually the same stove.. I owe ya! This fan is a direct replacement, with nothing needed other than to run the wiring and cut off or bend back the one extra mounting tab that just isn't used on my stove. It's quiet and works like a champ, has been for a few days now. Took about half an hour to install for me and I couldn't be happier.
Very cost friendly

Product worked very well for my coal furnace, the cost was half of what local supply store wanted for the same model.
It bolted right on and worked just as it should

Pay attention to what you are buying. A friend with a pellet stove was gripping about paying the dealer $326 + tax for a new blower and how he had to wait till payday. I googled the motor, and some research and found it to be a cheap noisy knock off of this motor. I bought it for him and (of course he paid me cash) after he installed it, all he could talk about (ad nauseum) was how quiet it is, and how Amazon saved him hundreds of $$. Also, it has oiler ports for lubrication, and this sent him to heaven. Guess it was a good buy.
