Fitted this to my '61 Olds Dynamic nearly 6 months ago as it was running very poorly having been off the road for around 12 years. It obviously needed the ignition system sorting so decided to upgrade to electronic for reliability and easy maintenance (no more points/condenser).
Fairly straight forward to fit, from strip down to engine up and running took about 2 hours.
Car fired instantly on initial start up, I was lucky that I got the timing pretty close when I refitted the distributor, as I expected some tweaking would be required.
Car runs great now, have had no issues with it in the last 6 months, and the Olds manages around 12mpg (UK Gallon) on my 3 mile drive to work and I've had 20mpg on a motorway journey, which I don't think is too bad for a 2 ton car with a 6.5L V8!

For classic car lovers that like to drive their cars this Mallory electronic ignition conversion is great. My 1967 Camaro 350ci/295hp starts,idles and runs up to the redline like a new car now. Tip: Buy the matching coil (Mallory #29219) and a new Mallory cap and rotor for a complete upgrade. Also, if you pull the distributor (makes installation easier) you will need a new distributor gasket (not included) to finish the job.
