Simply do not know what I would do without these in my classroom. The students enjoy picking a color that "helps" them, and I appreciate having a simple and easy tracking tool!

My daughter has been diagnosed with ADD. She not hyperactive at all. She just has trouble focusing on one thing and comprehending what she's reading or what she's been told to do. I ordered these for her as suggested by the behavioral specialist who diagnosed her. The set includes blue, pink, and yellow. The yellow seems to work best for my daughter. I don't know why. There's something about the yellow against the black lettering. I've seen similar items used in classrooms over the years (I'm a former teacher) and I do believe that these train a child's eyes to see a sentence as a whole and help them become fluent readers. My daughter has been using these for several months now and her reading has taken off. She's taking AR tests and completing homework without crying. My feeling is that these are helping her.

The sentence strips are exactly what I need for this upcoming school year! There are 30 rulers in a pack which consists of 10 blue, 10 red/pink and 10 yellow. The rulers are a little over 6.5 inches long which will be great for seat work and large print books. Even if you use small books/chapter books, these highlighters will still do the job.

They are very flimsy though. I plan taking a few of them and putting them through my laminator to see if that will help prolong the life of these. I can see these not lasting very long in the hands of little ones if not used correctly. It would be a good idea to have a little case to keep them in to help shelf life as well.

The yellow seems to be the easiest to use...it is a lot easier to see the words. The blue and red is not too bad but I found myself having difficultly "reading" (perhaps, it is because certain colors of things cause trouble with my eyes) so it may not be so bad for others. Sorry for the glare in the pictures but hopefully it will help.

I use them with my IEP and 504 students. It helps students with ADHD slow down and read more accurately. Great for students with convergence insufficiency as well.

These strips are fantastic!! I got 30 strips for the price of 10 individual ones at my local teacher's store. The strips can be layered to make other colors. My students layered blue and yellow and have green, and yellow and magenta to make orange. The blue and magenta do layer to make purple, but the color to too dark to see text. With the ability to layer you can have 5 colors instead of 3:).
