Not bad for the price

I installed this on the driver's side rear door of my 2002 GMC Safari. It fit well enough and holds my 175 lbs without feeling like it's going to collapse or fall off, though it is very light weight. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws.

On the one hand I like the fact that it's very very light in weight but on the other hand I'm not sure if it's strong enough to support my weight if I stand on it. I know it sounds silly but having mounted the ladder on my van I intend to avoid using it, unless or until I absolutely have to.
The product description mentions a choice of two different styles, but nowhere could I find any more information about that. What I got was an unpainted aluminum ladder which I painted black to match the SURCO Safari roof rack that I have. If I could have chosen a ladder in black I wish I had known.
