Worked as promised. Unlike some other reviews, found no quality control issues - the edges were uniform in thickness and the Styrofoam filling was flush to the bottom. Placed on pea gravel with fine-sand packing about 1/2" thick and more to level - did this myself and put two Pioneer split-inverter heat pumps on them - one was 12K BTU (one ton) and the other 18K. The 18K was absolutely the biggest that would fit. I have no complaints - they look okay and are very stable and quiet. The Pioneers love them. These are a good value and are sufficient to the purpose.

The surface was irregular with a surface blister that now has white foam residue coming thru the surface. In general the block seems sturdy but the surface blister is causing some equipment to rock. I am using it to hold pool equipment, next year I will try turning it over in hopes that the blister will flatten out.

I think the previous reviewers were a little too kind. This pad is mostly made up of Styrofoam with a very thin layer of composite material on the top and sides wrapped around the foam. Mine came with a big chuck missing in the side and I could bend the whole thing with my hands. The thickness of the composite material I would estimate to be less than a 1/4 inch thick and I don't see how you could put a screw through it and expect it to hold. I am thinking that the weight of you average mini-split condenser is what really would hold it in place. This thing weighs about 10 pounds. I think you would be better off to dig a hole and set this pad in concrete flush with the ground but for all that trouble just make forms and pour two inches of concrete.
