Seems like a weird design

As previously mentioned, the 'lid' is designed to come off for some reason, and it's difficult to get back on. Seems like a weird design. Electrically seems legit but I don't like the piece-meal feel of it.

Not Bussman. Brand is?. Leads not plated and is brass which is very tarnished. Looks nothing like picture.
