Much quieter than the stock mechanical fan!
Brian•April 28, 2018
I would have given it 5 stars but it required a lot of fabrication of the brackets to fit my 2003 Dodge Dakota with a 4.7L engine. It is much quieter than the stock mechanical fan. Which was my main purpose for installing the Flex-a-lite 180. Plenty of wire and connectors were supplied but I used weatherproof connectors and heat shrink on all the splices. It works great but only has been installed for 3 weeks. I will update if something happens. The fan has not been tested in extreme weather yet. Current weather in Seattle has been 45 to 75 degrees F.
Solve your cooling issues.

Great fan and shroud and very simple to install. I had major cooling issues on my 91' firebird with a dart 427 small block 12:1 compression engine. I was trying to cool it with a "Be cool" radiator and jegs 16" electric fan and I couldn't get down my street before the engine would get up to 210 degrees causing me to take the car home and park it. Be cool claims their radiator will cool 450-1000 hp with the set up I had. Good luck with that. I'm right in the middle with 700 hp and it wasn't even close to driveable in the city with low traffic and spaced out traffic lights. I installed an all star 2 core triple pass radiator, (less than half the price of the Be cool) and this fan and I have zero cooling issues.

Assembled and wired, cut and placed into my truck to check for fitment, and functionality. Worked in mid summer high heat for about 3 months. It was odd to see it turn on at my temperature I set, but only at full blast. I specifically sought out this electric fan to help alleviate future problems... In the description per the manufacturer, this is a variable speed fan which is what I paid for and wanted due to electrical load problems. But under further use and inspection, this fan controller only supports 1 speed, on, and off. Fan no longer operational, and I'm a disgruntled customer. Will not buy, further support, or recommend this product or manufacturer.
Works great now.

Works great now .....had a defective non-working controller which caused the fan to run continuously.
Dealing with their customer service was like pulling teeth to get it replaced under warranty.
It took almost 3 weeks to get the part, meanwhile my car sat in the garage

Jeep CJ7 cooling system success
Micrablue•August 3, 2017
Bought this for my CJ7. I transplanted a 4.0HO into it and didn't care for the mechanical/electric fan setup. I put a Flexalite 160 on my other CJ7 with a V8 and really liked it. This fan was a success also. It fit nearly perfect behind the stock radiator and the control module works nicely. I had to modify the brackets they sent, but they sent 2 different styles, so you have plenty to choose. All hardware, heavy duty 10gauge wiring was included. I didn't need anything else. It keeps my engine at 190 degrees F and I can adjust it for summer and winter temperatures, or wheeling. I also must mention the HP I got back by getting rid of the the mechanical fan completely; the engine revs up better.
