Nurse Practitioner Student Supply Bag
Jenny✓ Verified Purchase•March 19, 2017
This was the supply bag recommended by my nurse practitioner program. I looked around to see if there was anything comparable in price and size, but figured this was probably the best bet. I'm happy that I went with this bag. It holds all of the medical supplies required by my FNP program with enough room to also function as a carry-on/purse. I have several on-campus visits and want to bring as little luggage as possible, so having a bag that is big enough for the supplies, my tablet (Kindle Fire), wallet, phone, bottle of water, etc., is great. There is also some padding to the bag, which provides extra protection for supplies and a tablet. Time will tell how it holds up with traveling, but it seems like a pretty sturdy item.
Update: Just came back from a 5 day on-campus visit with train travel to/from D.C. The bag held up very well holding all of my supplies + doing double-duty as a travel bag. It even fit my rolled-up lab coat. It wasn't uncomfortable to carry across my shoulder even though it was pretty weighed down. Only mild complaint was that the plastic clips on either end of the strap that attach to the bag itself are quite squeaky with movement, but this wasn't a huge deal at all.

Terrific Nurse Bag!

Just right for the home care nurse! The bag material is thick enough that it holds its nice rectangular shape. Good number of inside pockets, but not TOO many, so it's easy to find things. I have plenty of room for large electronic BP cuff, stethoscope, large infrared thermometer, bandage scissors, pulse oximeter, and iPad. I'm a home infusion nurse, so I appreciate the inner side pockets for extra alcohol prep pads, gauze 2x2s, IV start kits, IV catheters, etc. A great value, and honestly, much more manageable than my previous paramedic bag, which while it held everything, including the kitchen sink, was too bulky, big and impossible to find things in. This is a real upgrade! I now keep a nice plastic bin in my car for all my "extras" and am able to replenish the supplies for this bag very easily.
I love this bag

I love this bag. Plenty of room for my ears and cuff, Love the slots inside for syringes and needles and meds and alcohol wipes and bandaids. Zippers are good, it's sturdy, even the strap-which I use-my only complaint is the inside material is SO slippery if I toss my bag into the car seat for instance, all my stuff jumps out of the pockets and winds up in the bottom so I just end up pawing through everything to get what I need. Been using it about 6 months now, still looks new. (and I am not gentle ((except when giving shots of course)) the two zippered inside pouches are a big bonus, may some very small velcro tabs on some of the inside pockets to help things stay in place would make it better.
Perfect nursing bag

My search is over. I first thought the bag looked small but it is just compact and organized. I have found it to be the perfect nursing bag for home care. The foam bottom and sides make it keep its shape. It has a plethora of various sized inner pockets for all of your nursing supplies - pulse oximeter, thermometer, pens, scissors and also includes a large outer zipper pocket (my stethoscope and phone go in here) and a large outer slip in pocket. It has carry handles and an adjustable shoulder strap. The main compartment zips as well and easily holds notebook and sphygmomanometer. The material appears to be very sturdy. The client has their own health care supplies in their home. If needed, there is still more room in this bag for a few wound dressings, etc. Thanks for a great product.
Not even a loose thread, perfectly sized.

I am an EMT, and I was looking for a bag to keep just a few medical supplies in my car for emergencies and outdoor trips. This fits everything I need (gauze, tourniquets, Israeli bandages SAM splints, cheap stethoscope, bp cuff), it is very light, and the front pocket is perfect for a stethoscope. Not only is the canvas strong, but mine came with no loose threads, and the zippers are very sturdy. I'm 6'3" and with the strap almost fully extended the bag is at my waist when worn across my chest on the opposite shoulder. That being said, it can also be shortened to just about 2.5-3' long if you really needed it to for some reason. A very good bag.
Update: I bought a second one as my work bag, keeps my stethoscope safe in the front pocket, holds 6 water bottles, and all of the other things I need! Still love it!
