Best gluten free, vegan cake mix ever!! I use 1/3 cup apple sauce to replace the eggs and they are so moist and delicious people don't even believe it's gluten free and vegan!

I bought a 6 pack of the gluten free chocolate cake mix and I'm probably going to toss the last two bags. I've made cupcakes and a cake so far and the biggest issue with this is it's way way too salty. It's so salty it's barely edible. The first time I made it as cupcakes I used very little frosting so it was slightly sweet and super salty.
Today I attempted a cake. I put a lot of frosting thinking that is what I'm supposed to do to offset the saltiness and It's just so overbearing. The sweet helped but barely and seriously I used a lot of frosting.
The designers of this mix need to reevaluate the recipe and cut the salt by at least half. It's unfortunate because I had high hopes. Oh well.

Got these for my gf daughter-in-law. Made the most delicious coconut cake I've ever had. I am the descendant of many fine southern cooks and have eaten many, many coconut cakes of exceptional quality. This makes a moist, delicious cake with a crumb like a scratch cake. Excellent!

I made cupcakes with this mix for my daughter's birthday party and they came out great. I was a little worried that they'd be dry after reading some mixed reviews on here, especially since I'm not a real experienced baker, but I didn't think they were dry at all. I used coconut oil and an extra egg, frosted them with a lightly sweetened whipped cream frosting as soon as they were cool enough and then refrigerated them overnight.
