I bought these for a birthday gift for my dad. This is his all time favorite sweet tart candy and always complains he can't find them anywhere. I was hesitant at first because of all the reviews were saying the candy was stale. The key is to break them on a counter or a hammer before you open them, that is what I used. I remember my dad always wacked them on the kitchen counter all the time. The box I received today are more fresh than the ones I ate 10 years ago!!! **DO NOT TRY AND BREAK IT WITH YOUR TEETH!!

The sweet tarts maybe a little old because they stick to wrapper and the ones have gotten from gas stations don't do that. But they still taste the same

They are great!!! Love them!!! I seen that some said they were stale but that is just the texture of the candy. It will become chewy once in mouth and lick or chew.
