Happy camper

A neighbor at the campground showed me this and I was impressed and had to try them myself. Seems I always had something I was carrying into the trailer and I had to take it in, set it down, and go back and shut the door. This came with 2 springs and the hardware to install them. I started with the top spring stretched to 9" as th directions stated and found it slammed the door too fast. I didn't want it slamming on my ankles before I could get in the door. Springs measure about 71/2" relaxed, so I stretched it to 8" and it was perfect. Door still closes on its own, but doesn't slam near as hard. I didn't install the 2nd spring as just the one seemed sufficient. Now I have a spare.
Works very well.

Fairly easy install with just a drill and a screw driver, however directions may not the clearest for non-handy folks, they could really improve the documentation, which consists basically of a crude diagram on the back of the package, but if you are handy, you can probably figure it out.

I needed something to keep the screen door on my trailer closed so that mmy parrot wouldn't fly out and this did the trick. 6 bucks is a great price, installation was easy although some thought was required for best placement. I needed to use both springs to assure that the door locks closed.
Love these!

I love this product! These fit our 2011 Keystone Cougar 324RBL. The only regret I have is not making them a little bit tighter by streching them maybe another inch or two to get more tension on the door. My doors were maybe a litter heavier than others I dunno for sure. I did use some wire cutters to shorten the springs for more tension rather than putting another screw hole in my RV. Since I modified them they work amazing keep in mind most people will not need to modify these. It's so nice not having to turn around to verify that the door shuts to keep bugs out when heading outside plus we have two dogs so it's a bit more peace of mind.
Like everyone has said

Like everyone has said, this should be standard on all RV doors. I just ordered a second set for my bathroom screen door. I have found if you install both springs at 9" per the instructions, the door will close too forcefully and end up bouncing back open again. If there is any sort of wind though, both springs are needed. I installed both springs but only have one connected to the trailer frame. If windy/breezy conditions come up, 30 seconds with a screw driver and the second spring can be secured to the door frame for that extra umph in closing when needed.
