My son is the trombone player and we bought this on the recommendation by his trombone instructor. I definitely notice a better tone and bigger sound when he practices. He loves that it takes less effort to get the sound he's going for.
Great price

I purchased this mouthpiece about 4 weeks ago. I use it with my valve trombone which came with a no-name 12C. I'm a euphonium player who is used to a larger bore instrument and bigger mouthpiece (I've played mostly with a 6.5AL since I started playing euphonium/baritone more than 20 years ago), so I don't like the 12C very much except when playing with a mute. I bought a Blessing 6.5AL for my valve trombone in April, and I do like it a lot more than the 12C for overall playing, but sometimes it allows more airflow than the instrument, which has 0.480" bore tubing, wants, so it doesn't respond correctly. The 7C is a definite step up from the 12C, and is a very commonly-used mouthpiece. It produces a bigger and brighter tone than the 12C and produces better instrument response, particularly in the lower range, without sacrificing the upper range. I can get up to high B-flat with no more difficulty than with the 12C. I now have 2 Blessing mouthpieces that I use with my valve trombone, and 2 Bach mouthpieces that I use with my euphonium. For my purposes, the Blessing mouthpieces are just as good as the Bach ones, and they are much less expensive.
