We bought one of these for our swimmer kids when they were 16. They are now in their early 30's and the original battery is still going strong. I use this all the time, wish I had the manual as it is easy to press the wrong switch at the wrong time, but for the price, it is fine.

These are great! I've had some working perfectly on the same battery for over three years. They can take a beating too. Can't beat them for the price.
I had several issues buying these as other, cheaper models were mislabeled, leading to multiple returns. Amazon took care of it though, but worth noting if you get the wrong thing like I did.
But I can't recommend these enough. I have ten for work, and we never have problems with them.
