Recently I transitioned from a messy hairstyle to a side part and just could not find a product that would leave my hair the way I wanted it. Until my stylist used this on me. It doesn't leave your hair crunchy or super dried out looking; you can run your hands through it throughout the day and it still maintains its integrity as long as you don't go overboard. I think this product should only be used with a part type hairstyle though because it won't really hold your hair up; it just helps keep it in place where you set it. It has somewhat of a shine to it and keeps your hair layered and textured well. The price is high but you are also getting a great paste. I promise this is not a garbage product; believe me, I've tried plenty of those (looking at you American Crew).
