Slick little rods. They hooked into both of my different ceiling mounted storage racks and held fabric rolls. You could add 1/4" plywood and add a shelf. First set worked so good i bought another set. Lovin'them.

I really love my HyLoft system in my garage. I purchased the racks at my local Home Depot and had my contractor put them up. They save me so much space and are very sturdy.
I needed an unobtrusive way to store my aluminum ladder, and these rack accessories are definitely the bomb. Space them as far apart as you need for almost any sized ladder and they'll suspend it cleanly and securely. There's a little wiggle when sliding the ladder off, but these things won't come off the rack due to the way they're designed. The finish is sturdy too, so metal on metal contact won't cause any significant damage.
