Works for a 1999 F250 SD with minor modifications to wire harness

Just putting up these review because Amazon said this wouldn't fit my truck seat. This unit is exactly the same footprint of my old unit and mounted up easily enough. As others have mentioned, you just need to change out connectors. I did this by removing the female connecter from my old one and installing it on my truck wire harness so I wouldn't alter this unit enough that I couldn't send it back if it failed. You may have to swap a couple wires in the plugs to get your seat buttons to work in all the right directions but that's easy. I am glad I decided to see if this would work as my old one was stuck in the forward and reverse direction of travel for years.

even though it said the product did NOT fit my 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis, I ordered it anyway because it matched mine. it works perfectly fine with 1 catch. the forward and backward control is reversed. everything plugs right in but if you push the control to move forward, the seat goes back and vice versa. not a big deal. All other control directions work as indicated. i could have switched the wire positions in the plug but I didn't feel like taking the seat back out and going through the trouble.

Brought new life into my power seat. Hopefully I'll get another 16 years out of this one. Lol. I installed it in a 2003 F-150. I had to solder on my old connector as it was female and this one was male. I also had to swap around 1 pair of motor wires to get it to go in right direction. No big deal as my power seat no longer dies while adjusting it. Nobody stocks the F-150 motor anymore. Bottom line my seat works good as new and is quiet and sounds great and doesn't strain or stall. Price is fantastic!!
