... i tasted that was no or low sugar tasted like glycerine coated goop
Jim B.✓ Verified Purchase•February 3, 2018
every protein and power bar i tasted that was no or low sugar tasted like glycerine coated goop. these bars are a gimmick. you have to buy the sugar /high fructose corn syrup ones to have them taste any good. still they dont taste that good. better get the ones with the added dog grade vitamins they add too. i dont buy power bars anymore. i bought tiger bars back in 60's when they first came out. now all these trendy hip hop spin bars are for hipster suckers to munch with their starbucks $6 cup coffee
Not REALLY Good, Not Horrible, but Low Carb a ++

Not a big fan, and I've been giving them away, thinking maybe someone I know will like them.
Not horrible like some protein bars where you are gagging after the third bite, but I found myself "chasing"
every other bite with coffee. That is my solution to breakfast food that isn't great.
On the other hand, they are low carb, no sugar, and that is hard to find, particularly in something
that isn't really bad-tasting.
Update: I just had a bar earlier today and could not choke it down. I wish I didn't have half a box of them still. :(
I might try another flavor.

Good for you but you'll blow your diet

"I can't believe I ate the whole thing." I eat too many protein bars so I know what tastes good and what to avoid. This stuff is wickedly good; I'm not a peanut butter freak by any means but I could not stop eating the bars until the entire box was gone. The low net carbs usually means the taste is compromised; not so with this. Blow your diet with this stuff and you'll still be happy!
Very tasty for meal/low carb bar/low sugar bar

I really liked this. Couldn't really detect the artificial sweetener taste. Did comparison - this and Atkins (bleah) and will stay & subscribe to this bar.
Nice texture too.
With all artificially sweetened products - BE CAREFUL and test on the weekend in case you have explosive reactions. This one was OK for my digestive system - lol!

Gas.

Lots of sugar alcohols = lots of gas. They taste good, but you may need a long acclimation period. Like eating only 1/4 of a bar at first. They could have used glycerin and stevia instead of all these sugar alcohols, but I guess they wanted to keep the price low.
