I really like the nice grey/black color of this hose sock, especially compared to my old one that looked like it was cut from my grandmother's drapes. It was easy to install, too, with the included tube.

Product received was the gray pictured and arrived ready to install on the application tube (so far, so good). Began applying according to included instructions which were simple enough. As I neared the last several feet of my 35' hose (I purchased the 35' sock and it was labeled as such), it was apparent that I was running out of sock, and that I would be short about six feet!!! I reapplied the sock to the application tube that I had just applied to the hose. Then to her dismay I enlisted the help of a family member to hold one end of the hose and sock and reapplied the sock, stretching as I went. We were able to, with quite a bit of stretching effort and with no sock to spare (the hose reaching the entire length of the house both upstairs and down while getting only one small bleeding finger wound), cover the hose. It did however pull away some on both ends, even though we tied the elastic tightly. The plastic stays which were on each elastic end were a good idea but were of no use so we removed them as they did not hold, even when no tension was on them. Since so many others have given positive reviews, I find myself wondering if this sock was mismarked. It would have been a snap to apply to a 30' hose. If it had fit my 35' (yes I measured it) hose as it should have, and if the plastic elastic stays had worked properly, I would have given it 5 stars.

I was prepared to return this sock because I could not locate the Application tube. Then I read the directions and realized sock was already on the tube. Sometimes we need directions, however the company could make this more obvious.

This hose needs a ZIPPER!!!! What a process to get this mother on! And we did not receive the application tube, either. The good news is, now that it's on, it's not going anywhere. But can't recommend, based on the difficulty in putting it on.
