I don't really like to use additives but one tank was very problematic. Not for the typical reasons. I wont go into detail. I will say it was a battle. I did figure it out eventually and stopped using this. This works but be very careful. It did tick some of my corals off. Nothing died, and none of the "expert" level fish had problems. That was at less than half doses. Like others mention use a half dose or less to start. Also do more water changes than planned, and run an air stone. Clean your substrate/ornaments/rocks, and pull out as much algae possible before using. Not in one big move though, do it in stages. For example I did a lot of cleaning, and two water changes before even attempting. My thoughts are that a lot of people have very dirty tanks. Causing the oxygen to crash, and other things to go out of whack with this additive. Don't let dead algae build up causing ammonia, and other pollution as a result. Also don't let this chemical bioaccumulate causing potentially toxic levels. Also obviously, don't dump it right in your fishes face. Dose it slowly diluted at night time into the flow so that can be avoided. Either of those cases could be a disaster. Do the water changes before next dose. I think that will give the safest chances if deciding to use this. Use if you like then get it where it needs to be, and keep on top of it. Then one shouldn't have to use anymore.
Works Wonders!

The pictures say it all. A little background. I have a 90 gallon tank with goldfish and bristle nose plecos for cleaning surface algae. My filter is a Fluval FX4 that is rated for a 240 gallon tank. No matter what I did lately, I could NOT get rid of this algae bloom. I was doing small water changes daily, I tried major water changes even. I tried using a phosphorus-removing media in my filter (phosphorus feeds algae). I clean and operate my Oscar tank (150 gallons) the exact same way as my goldfish tank. Neither tank is in direct sunlight. I was at my wit's end with my 90 gallon. I really didn't want to use a product that could potentially hurt my fish or live plants in the tank. When this arrived, I added a dose for a 50 gallon tank instead of 90 gallons just to be safe. I wanted to see how it affected my fauna and flora. I took a quick shower. By the time I got out, I hardly recognized this tank! Within just 15 min, the tank was *almost* crystal clear. Within an hour, it was the cleanest it's ever been. My water parameters have always been great and both tanks are well-cycled. Between this Alage-Fix and my filter, my tanks are clean and beautiful. The white water polishing pad did wonders to remove the dead green algae the next time I cleaned my filter the next day. HIGHLY recommend, but follow directions. See my before and after pics!
Cleared up in less than an hour

I have been struggling to get my tank clear for weeks. Every week I changed out at least 85% of the water but in just a day the water would turn green again to the point I couldn't even see the fish. The first picture is just after 10 mins of putting this product and in about an hour the tank was 100% clean and clear. This product is amazing.
Do not combine with tap water conditioner

It works great but do follow the label instruction exactly and be sure you don't put it at the same time as water change + tap water chlorine treatment, otherwise it kills oxygen. My local fish store owner advises to only put this algae treat at least 4 days after water change
