Secures gate very well. Easy to install. I did have to make a block to attach to the post because our post was not close enough to the gate. Just what was described though and I am happy.

These work exactly as described. Haven't tried them with goats yet, but they do keep our 3 & 4 year old grand-kids contained in the play yard.

I have a few of these 1-Way gate latches as well as a few of the 2-Way latches. Both are great. They are well built, solid construction, don't rust, operate smoothly, etc.
