I had this thrower for 3 years now and have been very happy with it. We have used it to throw over a 1000 clays and have had very little problem with it. It does need to be tightened up from time to time but nothing unexpected. I have recommended this to others and will continue to do so.
Good for the money but not for heavy usage
LunatechApril 14, 2015
I purchased it when it was $99 and was well worth the money. Just one thing, it won't hold up to heavy usage. I'm talking about 600-700 skeet every Saturday (I coach a youth hunter safety team). Mechanically it will but the aluminum arm will start to "dent" where the latch catches at full cock and it will start to break skeet. I've had to fix other areas that were causing skeet to break also. Worked fairly flawless when I first got it but we throw a lot of skeet, about 1200-1400 a week (Tues, Thurs, and Sat.) at peak practice season. For the money it's pretty good though.
easy to put together

easy to put together, but know set up instructions on how to make it throw > so plan on wasting lots of clays trying to figure it out The people i contacted from thier company Knew nothing . It took lots of trys in emails to even grt them to understand what we were trying to ask for the kept sending us how to put it together instructions.
I like that you can place this in a hitch receiver ...

My father and I were looking to replace our trap thrower dating back to the 1970's. We are no longer young enough to keep bending over and re-arming the old one we have, so we searched for something a little more modern. After going on a duck hunt out of state and seeing the guides use a trap thrower such as this, we were hooked.

Set up was very simple and only took about 25 minutes. I like that you can place this in a hitch receiver on a vehicle which makes it easy to load the clays up. Elevation adjustment can be done quickly with the turn of a knob on the side, and re-arming the machine doesn't take too much effort.

The only downside I see with this is that bolts are used to put it together. Although it is simple to take apart and put back together with the supplied tools, it is a nuisance to take it apart each time you want to fit it in the truck of a car or the back of something like a Jeep. I would like to see future models with hinged legs or something like a bolt with a wing nut to aid the break down process without the need for tools.

I recommend this product.
the quality did seem very good..

After receipt of this thrower and somewhat confusing assembly, I could not cock the throwing arm. It is in my opinion extremely stiff. I am not the strongest guy around, but I could not begin to cock it. Having said that, the quality did seem very good........wish it would have worked out for me
