I had been to a craft fair with my sister before the holidays and she found several vendors selling these types of bowls and fell in love. I wanted to get her one for Christmas, but did not keep any info on the sellers. So, I went on Amazon and found this one. I hoped it would be okay. She loved it! It looked just like those at the fair and I hated telling her where I got it, LOL. But she was very, very happy with it.

My wife and I bought this bowl and the Ironwood Gourmet Acacia Wood Large Salad Utensils as a present to each other for our fifth (wooden) wedding anniversary. We are very happy with our anniversary presents!

This is a BIG bowl, so you might want to check your available storage space. On the other hand, it is very pretty to look at, and we find we make a lot more salads now, so you might think more in terms of an easily accessible display space instead of hiding it away in some cabinet storage space.

Because the bowl is so big, it is easy to make Ceasar for six, for example, or just about any other salad you can think of creating. Finally, we have a salad bowl big enough that I can actually toss salad, without the cramped movements of trying to delicately keep the lettuce in the bowl and not flip it out onto the counter or table.

The bowl conditioned easily with a little EVOO and garlic, it rinses and wipes clean easily, and we look forward to using it for years to come.

I am enjoying this bowl. I oil it after each washing and it just feels better and better.

Heavy beautiful wood salad bowl. Extra large which is wonderful for our family, we are big salad eaters. The only thing I would change is I wish it came with serving pieces. Because the bowl is so deep standard 12 inch servers are to short.
