This is the best cover you can get especially for it's low price. I initially thought I had to remove the old cover to apply this new one, but it turns out that this one just goes right over top and sits perfectly. It's very easy to install (4 screws, and it comes with the tool) and it has a high glossy finish. I used to have a locking cap instead of a cover but after a few months the lock on the cap became loose and as a result made it difficult to remove. With this new cover however that problem is gone, it has a sturdy twist lock and the cover stays open when fully pulled back, making it easy for fill ups. Other than the obvious benefit of it locking, it looks fantasic and is easy to remove if a problem comes up.

Very easy to install and it looks good. I was hesitant to purchase this type that screws into the plastic in the gas cap housing. Other types require you to remove the taillight, install something behind the gas cap housing that the gas cover can be connected too. I got over it, however, when I saw how quick it was to install. My major issue with this item is that the black finish dulls very easily. When I first got it, it was glossy black; now it's faded, and it's not because contaminants like gas being spilled on it, if that's what you were thinking. If I had known this beforehand, I probably would've gotten the chrome version, even though it doesn't match my '12 Wrangler JK.
