This thing is large.. pay attention to size.. 5x6x4 in.. I knew going in to it I'd need something to hold this thing down for my car.. but the base is so large it doesn't fit in the slot where I need it. My car is old enough where the cup holder is only about a cm deep. Means if I'm not babying the throttle it spills. All I needed was something to go over it, with an inch or two of rim to hold a cup a bit more solidly. Unfortunatly for me this wont do. For those looking for something large that can hold anything and they have the space for a 6in base. This is the item for you, it'll hold anything nice and snug.

I like that it will hold larger cups without letting them tip over. The wires seem to be losing their flexibility and are staying toward the outside ore now though.

I just set it down in John Deere tractor cab on lower side area next to operator seat. Base is wide enough that is stays put and does not tip over. I did not have to fasten it down to use it.

This cup holder didn't fit my application due to the base was too wide so I tried to return it. NOPE, the item is NON-RETURNABLE and I didn't find out until I tried to return it. The seller does not state that anywhere in his ad that I could find. Also the white plastic spring "tensioners" that center the cup seem very sketchy at best. This item is not good for auto use for the driver since you tend to grab for your drink while trying to keep your eyes on the road, it may be too easy to hook them on certain cup handles, rings, your watch maybe. NO RETURNS and SKETCHY tensioners get it 1 star.
Very sturdy and stays where I put it on the console ...

I have an older car with no cup holders and no place to put any after market ones. This has solved my problem! Very sturdy and stays where I put it on the console between the front seats.
