East to use for setting up heat traces on my RV. I bought a 100' of the Easy Heat 2102 cable to go with it. No issues with wrapping and insulating my typical RV water line. Doesn't get too hot and that is a big reason why I went with lower wattage cable. It is pretty easy to cut the cable and attach this power supply. I used Knipex cutters but any decent cutter should work fine.
I turn the Easy Heat system on and off with a Johnson Controls thermostat. Overkill but I then know it will last.

Worked well for about two weeks and then stopped. We are located upstate NY, and it has been cold. We've had alternating frigid temps, snow, and rain. I installed 100' of the heat cable in an insulated enclosure that surrounds 100 ft of rubber garden hose connecting two building. (The underground line ruptured late in October and I didn't have time to excavate, repair etc.   The manufacturer doesn't mention that the orange enclosure, surprisingly, is NOT water proof.   Apparently rain entered. It does not work. The little black termination cap at the other end is fine. It can only be this. A replacement is on the way, and I will be sure to protect this one from the elements.

This keeps my pipes from freezing as the temperature control kicks in to turn on the heat as soon as it drops to 34 degrees or lower.

Wired up to existing cord easily. Mates with cords that have stainless steel around wire, not to be used with flat black cord systems. I will be buying another device in conjunction with this: this system is always on when you plug it in. However, easy heat makes a thermostatically controlled outlet to be used in conjunction with this device to save you power and preserve the system when not needed..
