This is the best guitar you can get in this price range. However, it does top many guitars that cost much more. Absolutely satisfied! I did not have any issues with quality or shipping, After receiving the guitar and realized it was s keeper I bought the dean case from Amazon also. Wonderful buy! 100% satisfied with this set up. Side note: The MXR -EQ is a must have, also bought the DIME DISTORTION BOX. Fabulous ...,
Extremely nice guitar...

Well worth every penny. It was perfect out of box. It took a while to get with the body shape and its a little heavy but.. Zebra pick ups kick ass, set neck and a Floyd Rose ... Come on that's a lot of guitAr for the price. Vintage built not a cheesy replica and I've purchased and returned several claiming to be as good as the original.... This may be better!!

So I can't really comment on price. Overall, is a good value for the money, I'd think, after comparing several guitars online. It just seems that music stores anywhere near my area refuse to sell cool guitars. I will definitely recommend physically trying a guitar before buying, if possible!

Right out of the box, the action was miserable. There was so much buzz that several notes were completely unplayable. The neck had too much back bow. Disappointed (ok, so there WAS one disappointment for me), I went ahead and adjusted the truss to compensate.. something I'm not too experienced in doing, unfortunately. I've had the fortune of getting mostly well set-up guitars by default.

However, after a day and a half or so of slow adjustment, I discovered how good of a guitar this actually was!

First let me say that mine came with a different Floyd-Rose unit than the pictures I've been seeing. A 1000 series, I believe. As far as I know, it is produced in Korea by FR for OEM use, and is mirrored after the OFR, so it is not a licensed one. So either that is the new standard for 79s, or I got lucky.

The guitar looks very beautiful. It is quite a bit darker than the pics here on Amazon portray. Actually a LOT darker compared to many of the pics I see. It has a great warm wood tone all around that I really am liking. It has dot inlays, but they are made of some shinier than normal material. Forgive me for forgetting the materials used. I guess abalone? Anyways, looks nice.

The pickups sound just fine to me. They have a higher bass output than the pickups on my Sledge ML, but otherwise work quite well. They of course look great with the guitar as well, but I may eventually swap them out.

Overall, good general-use guitar. I want a V next, but I've been very impressed with these MLs over my years of guitarness.
