I use this item to help me sleep. It doesn't zonk you out, in fact it has only worked for me if I'm ready to lay down in a quiet dark room and sleep. Please note that Percogesic makes more than one product, and for whatever reason two of them are represented together on this page under the "3 Styles" buttons. Only the "Backache Relief" product contains Magnesium Salicylate. The other two are Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine. Neither product contains the ingredients of the other.
I used to use the old "Momentum" backache product, which is Magnesium Salicylate. I was always satisfied with it, so was glad to find this version. Just be sure to pay attention to which product you are actually ordering off this page.

I am a long-time fan of these for muscle tension. A pharmacist recommended these to me years ago, when I had a crick in my neck go ballistic on me, to the point of not being able to straighten out my body. I took these until I could get in to see a doctor and I dare say they worked better than the prescription muscle relaxers the doctor prescribed. Unfortunately, Percogesic is getting harder to find in stores.

My go to pain reliever for pretty much any situation. The addition of an antihistamine makes this work better and faster than regular acetominophin. For some reason, this product is nearly impossible for me to find locally, so I'm grateful to find it on Amazon.
