My 90 year-old mother and 95 year old dad won't make coffee except in their Protor-Siles electric percolator they had in 1948. Unfortunately the local grocer unwisely quit stocking the fitters. I prefer to perk my coffee. The advent of drip coffee makers has made virtually impossible for me to find filters that will work with my percolator. These filters fit well in the basket. They keep the grounds in the basket and not in the coffee. I have also noticed that the amount of oil from the coffee doesn't blend in my coffee, giving it a full flavor taste rather than a very strong brew. I purchase the case of filters which last almost a year so it is less expensive, than having to buy filters every month.

While these are a bit of a pain to use (carefully putting them in the basket correctly so they don't rip, and lining up all the little holes) it really only adds about 1 minute to the coffee making process. And they are worth it! The grounds basket stays cleaner, without the residue along the sides and bottom. You just remove the little "sack" and throw it away - or compost the whole thing

I bought this for my parents who have been lifetime percolator coffeemaker loyalists. The filters does as described. Keep in mind though that with percolator baskets, some ground coffee will inevitably slip past the filter. Otherwise, these filters are good.
If you're a longtime percolator coffeemaker fan like my parents, I recommend you buy the box rather than an individual packet as it's more cost effective.

This package deal is quite a deal! Finding wrap around filters for my new to me old Pyrex percolator has been a daunting challenge. I tried poking holes in the basket style filter, tried the paper towel thing and though those methods work for some, they didn't work for me.
