I was looking for nice looking, functional, reasonably priced saddle bags for my 2020 Triumph Bonneville. These Chase Harper saddle bags nailed it. I have taken a ride with them and they are solid. They have a double flap system for weather. They mounted nice and square. And very importantly, they do not take away from the look of the bike. I was able to put the "saddle" part of the bags under my seat with no problems. All in all ... very happy.

First, be careful opening the package. Mine came packed inside an industrial type zip lock bag inside an Amazon box. If you save the bag, it makes a great saddle bag liner to keep your stuff dry if you need that.

These are well constructed and hold their shape when they are empty. No quality issues at all. The reflective strips are very bright, even in daylight they stand out. Nice touch. It's great to see American craftsmanship for a change. Thank you Chase Harper!

These are what I would call Goldilock size and look good on the bike. Not too big and not too small. I carry my lunch bag, drinks, laptop and some assorted odds and ends and still have extra room.

My motorcycle has the factory Moto Guzzi luggage rack installed. Don't by that it's expensive and too small to be useful for carrying anything. My wife wanted the grab rails and at the time, that was the only option. I only have about 1 inch of velcro overlap under the seat because of the grab rails on the luggage rack. I had to install the bags over those since it was impossible to route the flaps underneath it. I'll be installing a velcro extension panel at some point. If you don't have the factory luggage rack, you should have plenty of velcro. Seat closes fine and there is enough space for the passenger to use their footrests if you make sure to mount them as far to the rear as possible. You also don't need any saddlebag mounts for these. Because of the shocks, there is really no way that the bags can come into contact with the rear tire, even the back corners. Provided that you install them correctly of course. I have several inches of clearance from the factory exhaust as well so no worries there either. If you don't have the luggage rack, they will hang a bit lower, but should still clear the factory exhaust.

To attach the security straps, I looped one around the luggage rack and the other to the frame just below the side covers. They are not going anywhere and it's very easy to remove them.

I wish that the Chase Harper sold rain covers, even if you had to buy them separately they would be worth it. For now I'm using zip lock bags inside and that is working fine. The factory bag in one side and two 3 gallon, 2 mil bags in the other. Chase Harper could help us out if they could stick an extra zip lock bag in one of the saddle bags. That would provide 2 light duty liners. It would be pretty cheap to do.

I have no reservations about recommending this product to my fellow riders. I'll try to get some pictures loaded when it's not raining. Hope this helps someone.

These bags do what they're intended for on my 2021 street bob 114 (fxbbs). My only gripe with them is that I wish they could've had been hung a little higher on my bike because of its proximity to the exhaust. It doesn't burn the bags, but makes whatever's in the bag hot.

Durable and sturdy. My husband has a Honda Shadow Aero and it fits perfectly!

These are really nice bags. They fit perfectly on my 40 year old BMW r65! There is no luggage rack on the bike and I was concerned that the bags might settle into the wheel area and cause issues but that has not happened! They hold there shape and do not move under speed! These bags are designed for placement on the seat and not under the seat. There are two attachment points!. One strap wraps around the rear turn signal stalk and the other strap wraps around the passenger foot peg! Simple design but very effective. I haven't been in the rain with them yet, which is why I gave them three stars in that category, but the overlapping flap design looks effective in keeping water out! They are on a German motorcycle, but it's nice to see the little American flag tags on the back of the bags, saying made in America. I would buy these bags again!
