Noticeably better than more popular brands
mwangJanuary 5, 2015
This is a great litter. I dislike highly scented litters because they usually smell gross, so this was perfect and didn't have an overly performed smell. I use it in conjunction with arm & hammer litter deodorizer and never noticed any odor problem. I normally use Tidy Cats, Scoop Away or any of the other brands you get at the local pet store/grocery store. The problem with those brands were twofold in my experience: too much dust, and didn't clump as well. The Cat's Pride litter I bought clumped much better (clumps actually stayed at the top rather than morphing into a gigantic block along the edge of the litter box), and there was noticeably less dust.

Unfortunately it seems this litter is not always in stock on Amazon and hard to find anywhere else, so I still alternate between other brands when I don't have this one on hand. If you're not a huge litter snob and just want something that's affordable but still works better than the rest, get this brand. It just works.
Best Litter I've Found Yet for Allergy Sufferers: VERY Low Dust
OKDecember 18, 2014
My husband has multiple chemical sensitivities & a lung condition. Dust is our enemy, And as pet lovers, it's a challenge to reduce the "dust load." This, however, is the best cat litter I've yet found. It reduces not only airborne dust, but the "remnant dust" on our cat's feet and fur. It's also a low odor, clean-smelling litter; it contains some sort of dessicant agent (drying agent) that clumps and dries any waste for easy cleanups. I clean the litter box daily & use a litter genie ( Litter Genie Plus Cat Litter Disposal System with Odor Free Pail System, White and Litter Genie 3-Pack Standard Refill for Litter Box ), which helps tremendously.

Highly recommended for all cat owners; Amazon's price was considerably lower than my local store's. A winner!
Best so far since Fresh Step
DawnMarieOctober 1, 2014
Since Fresh Step changed its formula and became the dustiest cat litter known to man, I have been searching frantically for a decent replacement. I have tried several brands, including Cat's Pride Fresh & Light, which were all a major disappointment in one aspect or another (clumping, odor, tracking, dust). With Cat's Pride Complete, I finally found a litter that seems to be just good enough in all those areas. Though not perfect by any means (I am convinced now that such perfection does not exist), it is definitely the best I've found through my trials and errors since abandoning Fresh Step's dust storm. It's also a decently priced litter - that is, if you don't have to pay shipping. I'm very disappointed that Amazon does not offer this Prime and, better yet, with a Subscribe & Save option. It does not pay to order this from Amazon otherwise and I am relegated to having to find a local store that carries it instead.
Very very dusty, cats coughing within a week.

You get what you pay for, lured in by how cheapit is, and the good reviews, I couldn't get the usual cedar chips, so went temporarily for some clay litter, helped by reviews urging for the "red top". Didn't live up to reviews. For clay litter the "Precious Cat" brand is way better, as far as less dusty and making cats cough less, just a little more expensive about $17.99 40lbs.

We gave up on clay (Arm and Hammer) after noticing most of our cats were coughing a few times a week, and we even feel it when we poured the litter in the box (the cloud!), so we went onto cedar chips. Downside is you have to take the poop off the top everyday, BUT, it doesn;t get in their little lungs like clay dust does. Within a week of using cedar/pine chips our cats stopped coughing and we probably have added years to their lives and less vets bills in the future. Clay litter is like smoking for cats, only they don't get a choice.

We buy top range grain free, carageenan free, real food for them...and realized we then made them breathe in clay dust! So, we dumped clay and they are healthier.

I'm sorry I was caught back into clay by the cheap prices. Bak to non clay litter for our little ones.
It was good but the issues I had with that were
HeatherSeptember 5, 2014
I have three cats and five litter boxes and over the year's I've bought a lot of litter! I buy the clumping kind because it lasts longer. I used to buy Arm and Hammer multi-cat clumping. It was good but the issues I had with that were: clumps would fall always fall apart when I was cleaning the boxes, or would glue themselves to the litter box so I had to scrape them off (I broke a litter scooper that way), or not dry all the way. This Cat's Pride litter is incredible. I have NONE of those problems when I clean the litter boxes now - and that's important when you have a cat who needs a perfectly clean box or they pee and poo in other areas of house! What really made an impression on me was that one of my cats had just peed in the clean litter box and I wondered if I could just scoop it right away...I could! It clumped that fast! Seconds! When I had both types of litter (Arm and Hammer and Cat's Pride) in boxes next to each other, my cats all seem to prefer the Cat's Pride box.
