It is a very large bottle. Much bigger than we expected. Wonderful taste for a very reasonable price!

You get a LOT of Ghiradelli sauce. This is a huge bottle. I actually got the caramel, not the chocolate. Caramel is what i ordered and received, not sure why it says chocolate. It is pretty thin, we keep ours in the fridge and it makes very nice creamy caramel. We cannot dispense it out of dispenser, as it is too thick. We have to take the lid off and pour it. Great taste, for a great value.
Creamy/buttery flavor that only Ghirardelli has mastered
NSCaliMarch 10, 2018
This carael sauce is wonderful. It has a creamy/buttery flavor that only Ghirardelli has been able to master. It's the perfect consistency and goes good on so many yummy foods. We use it on ice cream, apple slices, brownies, in our coffee and sometimes just straight. A little goes a long way so the bottle lasts for a long time. We keep at room temp in our pantry and it stays fresh. (Since we got it during winter, our house rarely gets past 68 degrees) I didn't buy the pump, since it cost the same as the caramel and reviews are iffy. I bought some condiment bottles instead and we use just refill them as needed.
Now I no longer have to buy the caramel chocolate squares to have a little caramel. I highly recommend and will buy it again if it is still available.
The caramel flavor is decent but not as robust as ...

The caramel flavor is decent but not as robust as I expected, especially from Ghirardelli. The caramel flavor in a McDonald's latte or brand named ice cream is stronger than in this product. I think my expectations, compared to any other caramel-based food item, was too high. I would try another brand before I bought this product again.
Very tasty, but has a somewhat thin consistensy
MissslucrewDecember 2, 2017
I use this for my cake frosting. It is so tasty. However, be aware that if you are going to drizzle it over a dessert it is fairly thin. When I drizzle it over my cupcakes it turns quite watery and you can see through the sauce....I was hoping for a dark caramel color. But, it is nice that is comes in a large bottle. It makes making Flan, Cupcakes and other caramel desserts much more convenient because you aren't having to make your own caramel.
Use within 3 weeks per label (or face mold)
DJZNovember 14, 2017
Well, it's delicious and just like what they use at the local coffee shop. First jug took me 2 months to get through, just finished the second in about the same time frame and when I took the pump out, found a ton of mold. Didn't have this problem with the first despite same storage and it's actually cooler here now. Feel sick to my stomach it was so nasty (apparently no worse for wear having been consuming this for who knows how long, thankfully). I thought since it's basically pure sugar, it wouldn't go bad, but i just discovered the tiny print dead last on the side under the recipe (thanks guys, it'd make more sense in the front or back label where people are actually likely to see/read it, i dont need a recipe so the one place i didnt read) on the bottle says to use within 3 weeks of opening. That's impossible for me, so I'm trying to freeze half of the new one, will see how that goes. The newest bottle was bulging, so i actially thought that one was going to be the problem bit can't find anything wrong with it on close inspection. Ugh.
