Hoppe's makes the best Boresnake type cleaning floss

I have pretty much every caliber available in these Boresnakes, both rifle and handgun, and love them. They are great for a quick cleaning at the range, or any time you don't want to spend too much time doing a full cleaning. You don't even have to break down the weapon; just clear it and drag the snake through it a couple of times. Done.
Warning - These are NOT the same quality as some of the other knockoffs, like RangeMxxx... I have had several of the 'off' brands, and some don't even fit in the weapon. (For example I had a RangeMxxx .223 that wouldn't even fit in the barrel.) Hoppe's is the best of the snakes, and since I have 9 of them, I feel confident in saying that.

This is being advertised as a "Hoppe's Boresnake" .308 - .30 Caliber Rifle, Clam E/F. This is NOT a Hoppe's Boresnake. It is a cheap imitation "leash" - made in China. See photo with a REAL Hoppe's Boresnake versus the (imitation) "leash".
Another Chinese knockoff

Don't buy this on Amazon, go to a sporting goods store instead. The Hoppe's BoreSnakes are awesome, unfortunate this is a cheap Chinese imitation. It arrived in a small plastic bag labeled "Leash, Made in China". It is missing the proper engraving on the brass end, the brass end is too light to travel down the barrel and the entire thing got stuck half way down. Get this BoreSnake, but do it somewhere else. Don't ruin your firearm with this knockoff!
Do not purchase from an Amazon warehouse

If you are expecting a genuine Hoppe's Boresnake, do not purchase it from an Amazon warehouse. The first one I received was a cheap Chinese knock-off in a clear, zippered bag labeled "Leash Made in China". I alerted Amazon to their mistake and requested what I had paid for. Two days later I received another one of these knock-off 'leashes'. Do yourself a solid and don't put anything made in China through your bore.
