If it worked reliably it'd be great. The first time I used it, it detected two leaks in my car AC system that I retested multiple times with the same results. I turned it off and back on and it wouldn't detect them again but did detect in my vents. It goes off randomly at times, but didn't seem to when used on my ac vents, went off at the same spots, until I turned it off and back on again. I tested it in front of a small fan and it didn't go off at all just to see if it reacted to air movement alone. The unit itself gets very hot and exceedingly so over the sensor that is covered by a round rubber insert on the front of the machine. I don't see how this wouldn't melt internally if used often and for longer periods of time. I assume this one is defective. It comes with several foam inserts for the tip, an instruction manual, batteries and the sensor that you install yourself.

Great product. Read the instructions first!! This is a good product that is accurate if used properly. I've been a Toyota tech for almost 20 years and an MDT. This product has found two Tacoma evap core leaks that uv dye wasn't showing up on. Made its money in the first two weeks.

Works great. Compared it with few other snap on sniffers that my co-worker has, It detected just fine. It's not the best out there, but for the price it is a great sniffer for your first.

This thing is awesome!! Has saved me a lot of time diag cars! Catches the smallest of leaks. Highly recommended

Finally, an instrument that is highly accurate and doesn't sound off when the probe is placed by other objects or smells. Easy to use, nicely fits in the hand . Incredibly sensitive at finding leaks. My favorite thus far and ive owned about 5 over the years as an a/c Tech.
