Terrible texture and weak flavor

I usually buy these in a smaller quantity and for the most part they are fresh and moist, the price however is higher for the smaller quantity.
These are cheaper but I guess what they say is true (and "THEY" are never wrong)........"YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" these things had crystallized sugar all over them and did not taste as "ROBUST" as the other ones I recieved in smaller quantities. I love these candies and will order in smaller quantities again.

This is the second time I've ordered this licorice. The first shipment could not have been better. Soft, moist and delicious. My latest shipment, even though the best by date is December of this year, seems stale or dry. It is certainly not the same as my first order. Although the taste is still good, texture and appearance is bad. I had given away one package before I even tried it. I was disappointed in the quality, and I would return it if I had it all.

I bought this licorice for years locally it is ALWAYS delicious. I found it on subscribe and save I started a subs. The box arrived and the product tasted nothing like what I had been buying. It was hard rolls of "wax". No taste st all. I retuned the box. I was going to buy a bag locally and I could tell from them"feel" through the bag that it was the same wax that I had just returned. I'm done with with product

The flavor of this black licorice is heaven! I love eraser textured chewiness and this hits the spot! I have purchased two cases of this since I discovered it and you can't get a better deal than they have here on Amazon. You honestly get triple the amount for the price. I gave it four stars instead of five because the first time I ordered it was during the heat of the summer and it was a little bit too soft and the last time I bought it it was strangely a little more rubbery then I like. All in all, I like the texture both times but would have preferred a more happy medium between the two. I will definitely be buying it again but I am scared to have it in my house because I can't put it down!
Tasty but Sticky...

I've bought a couple of boxes of these, both for gifts and for myself. I really like this licorice except for one thing...It can be too soft and sticky, to the point that the bag is just one blob of licorice. Be prepared to get your hands very sticky when reaching in for a piece. But, the flavor is good and this is a good deal for the box. In some boxes, the licorice has been a little harder, in others, softer. Not sure why though. I recommend this licorice except if you do not like it sticky....
