Good for light wood work
Pete•May 29, 2017
Good for light wood work. Does contain hot, burned wood and/or ashes. Does the job for us with a Buck Stove wood burning fireplace.
Not as described

Ordered this item to match my fireplace set because it was described as having brass hardware, which the picture also shows. The handle is actually steel. Very disappointing.
Sturdy product

Heavy duty well made and the lid fits good and tight. Would highly recommend.
Perfect!

I bought this ash container for my new wood stove. It has a nice look and a tight-fitting lid to keep all the ash inside where it belongs! I have even put warm ash in the can and it handled the heat fine. Even looks nice on my hearth!

Bought this for my fireplace, which we use a lot burning wood. Plenty of room to hold ashes. I never put hot coals/ashes in it, I let it completely cool down first.... Better to be safe than sorry. The photo shows a shovel holder on the side, but mine did not come with one. The cover fits snugly on the rims. My container did arrive with a small dent. Not a big deal, I just banged the dent back out with my fist and all is well again. The minus 2 stars was for the cover handle. The handle is not welded onto the cover. It is held on with a button-like feature (not sure what the terminology for it is). With the constant pulling, when opening it, one of the button handle broke off. My husband will fix it by simply using screws/nuts, which should have been used in the first place for a more secure connection.
