After watching some wood working videos from Sommerfeld with matched length Tongue and Groove router bits, this was a bit of disappointment. It requires adjusting router height after changing from the tongue or the grove bit. If you have set up your router in a way that allows you to safely bottom out each bit and you purchase bits that are perfectly matched in cutting length AND shaft length you wouldn't need to change the router lift position. Apparently only a few manufactures do that, and I'm not really sure why.
That said, this bit has worked really well for learning and the price is fair.
