I bought this product to make a set of outside stairs safer since they are often wet. The product is a light grey color and is very viscous. It is best to apply in a thin coat with a 2 inch brush making sure your stokes are all in the same direction. Applying with a brush, sweeping back and forth will not give you the coverage or look you want. Once you put the first coat on, allow it to dry completely. Do not be in a hurry, it will take several coats to get a consistent, well covered area. This is a quality product and definitely provides a non skid surface that lasts. The consistency of the product is very odd, so give yourself time to practice on an area or surface that is not highly visible. I used the grey color, so I cannot speak to the color tinting aspect I have seen discussed in other reviews. I am very pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it and use it again.
