Motor failed during first use

I purchased this saw for my wife in March of 2013 but she didn't use it until two days ago, June 27, 2017. Time spent unused shouldn't have had a negative effect on the saw. Much to my wife's disappointment the motor failed after about two hours of use. The cost of a new motor is about $157.00. We've contacted the manufacturer but have not heard back from them yet. This may be a freek occurance but I wanted buyers to be aware of the failure.

I have been in stained glass for a long time and this tool is a great boost to my ability to create more organic design elements, such as flower petals, tree branches and leaves, natural elements such as rocks, waterfalls and forest scenery. This ring saw cuts rocks, glass, etc like butter. Is it a little loud? Yes, but not excessively so for a saw like this. I did find that the smaller cutting diameter limits the size of items I can cut, but within the size limit, you can cut items quickly and easily. I love this ring saw.

Amazing for glass. Haven't tried tile yet. Easy to clean, instructions are very clear. Purchased the accesories kit as well, which has been handy.
