if you have never tasted gooseberries, and can't get rhubarb to grow in your area... these are a wonderful substitute. Gooseberry Pie was my favorite as a child in the Midwest, and now it seems like a touch home in sunny southern California. Bought a whole case and will again when these are gone.!
