The Incra gauge is pretty inexpensive. It has detents that make for crisp stops of the measure. It is a handy tool for repeating a dimension on piece after piece. The hashes and numbers on the scale are formed of the tool's plastic, and are the same color as the tool. This makes them difficult to distinguish with my eyes. That's a real knock, but was fairly well solved by tracing the tops with a fine marker. I'm glad to have this tool.
Any locking square will do a better job. It's awkward to use and all plastic

I expected to much I guess. I had heard Incra made high quality products, this sticks when I adjust it and is difficult to use. I will set it aside and maybe, just maybe someday I may find a use for it.

Works great except it requires loosening the wing nut for each adjustment. Seems like there would be a better way to lock the ruler in position than a wing nut. But on the flip side, the lock should never fail.

Haven't had it long, but I've used it to find the center of some boards, used it to set up the height on the router table and to get some consistent measurements. The fact that I can repeatably get the same exact measurement is great. The gauge feels like it will last a long time and it of good quality. I'm going to be keeping this tool handy.
