I was the one that used to think that cheap shaving cream will suffice, it's all about how you shave.

Oh boy!, I was wrong. After trying this shaving cream, I am never going back to cheap shaving cream; and this one's not even that expensive (it will last a long time).

Definitely recommend. Don't forget to by Geo F. Trumper skin food also, that helps a lot post-shave, especially if you shave with a straight-razor like I do.

The jar looks pretty cool too, and the grooves on the lid make it satisfying to open and close it.

Geo. F. Trumper products are outstanding. Due to their consistent product attributes, I have been a repeat customer for many years, though the Coconut Oil product was a new purchase for me. I would have given this a 5 star rating, had it not been for the lacking of the coconut oil scent. Coconut Oil is not known to have an overly pungent aroma, but I have found the Coconut Oil scent in the tub I purchased to be somewhat less than expected. That said, the benefits of using Coconut Oil as a shaving cream is terrific. If you are looking for a lingering shave cream scent, you might want to purchase another in the Geo. Trumper product line.

I have been dabbling with the smaller tubes of this brand for a few months before I decided to commit to a big container. I have tried every "scent" GFT sells, even the more manly ones, and have settled on this bad boy. Almond is a close second though a little less moisturizing.

This is pretty fantastic. I am a female double edge shaver and have always had a host of issues with shaving. Though the years I shaved all the things, encountered all the issues, explored electrolysis and laser hair removal and have settled on a routine for the areas of my body I still shave.

Through the years I have found better and better methods to handle hair removal, in-growns, bumps and irritation. While I am reasonable "into" shaving culture and I more into a hassle free routine with the least amounts of bottle and tools I can use. Being a lady I had a pretty damn big area of real estate to cover and full body hair removal several days a week takes time. I want to be smooth. I want as few in grown hairs as I can manage. I want a shaving cream that will not dry or irritate my skin. I also want to have the least amount of clean up and items sitting around in my bathroom.

This is a cream that I do not need to use a brush for. I don't like brushes. It's one more thing for me to clean and care for. I want a cream I can froth up in my hands or on my body quickly. This cream does that. I pick up the cream in am amount about half the size of a dime for each limb or region I am working on. While I cam certain less product could be used with a brush, this method works for me and is quick to do. I get the fluff and cover I desire. This cream (heck this brand) had helped less grand blades perform better for me. My favorite is the Shark blades, but I am still working through a pack of Derby. Derby tends to skip a little on my skin and I tend to get knicks. A quality cream can help you get through those extra sample blades without having to toss them, while also really letting those favorite blades shine.

I used to have residual dryness on my legs after a shower without lotion. I can skip lotion now and then while I am using this cream. I have seen a decrease in in-growns and redness in comparison to other brands and even the older "scents" for GFT. Sometimes if the winter is giving my skin a beating, I have also used this as a body wash to give my skin a little extra love. For me this does more than just work as a shaving cream. While I would not go as far to drop body wash all together, I have gone on a weekend trip with JUST this to cover shower wash, shaving scream and shower lotion. So that's pretty amazing in my opinion.

My husband has been a water shaver (le gasp!) his entire life. He's starting to get some dry skin issues on his face. I had no idea he'd started trying my cream until my smaller tubes were depleting at an alarming rate. This is a guy who isn't impressive my any "grooming" or beauty product. If he's using it of his own accord, that alone lets me know this is pretty impressive stuff.

While $30 might be an alarming amount to pay on shaving cream, this is cheaper than the tubes in terms of cost per ounce. Amazon sometimes have this item a bit cheaper ($25ish) and can have free shipping for Prime Members. So purchasing it here is often ideal. The quality is worth it to me and it enhances my shaves (and my husband's).

This is probably the best shaving cream I have found and I have used several shaving creams/soaps. There is a slight hint of coconut smell but I really like it. Would highly recommend. First time I buy a gft product and am really impressed. Really high quality lather, easy to lather and really slick. Will definitely buy again. I am a big fan of DE razors and I think I have finally found a cream I am highly satisfied with.

I know there have to be some women out there looking for quality wet shave soaps. This one has been one of my favorites. I just wish the coconut smell was as strong when you lather it as it is when you smell it in the container. It's very gender neutral, as my boyfriend and I both use it because the smell is very mild when lathered. It lathers very easily with my badger brush, and the way it lathers is very comparable to saving creams made by Taylor of Old Bond Street. I do, however, like the smell of this coconut better that Taylor of old Bond Street. It's more like a sweet, candy coconut, whereas Taylor has a hint of musky, manly smell to it. I would definitely say it is my absolute favorite coconut shaving cream that I've had the pleasure of trying.
